Yes, our units are suitable for household furniture. We recommend using covers and blankets and ensuring items are dry before storage. Our units are treated with Grafotherm® anti condensation paint to offer a clean dry and secure space for your belongings.

Does Your Price Include Storage Protection for Household Goods?

Yes, we offer a range of storage protection options to cover your household items while in storage. Please speak to our team for more details.

Do You Offer Help with Moving Items or Van Hire?

While we don’t provide removals or van hire directly, we work closely with trusted local providers and can happily recommend reliable companies to help move your household items into storage.

How Does Domestic Self Storage Work?

Once you have chosen the right unit size for your household needs, we then require you to fill out a storage agreement form and provide two forms of photo ID and proof of address. We then provide you with your lock and key and add you to the gate access system.

How Much Does Domestic Self Storage Cost and What Are the Payment Terms?

Our pricing is simple and transparent:

  • 20ft x 8ft unit: £150 per month (inc. VAT)
  • 10ft x 8ft unit: £115 per month (inc. VAT)

Payments are made in advance, with a refundable one-month deposit required.

The minimum storage period is one month, and we ask for one week’s notice when you plan to vacate. If you vacate partway through a billing period after the first month, any overpayment will be refunded.

Our preferred payment method is bank transfer or standing order.

How Do I Access My Storage Unit?

After completing your storage agreement, we’ll register your preferred phone numbers onto our secure electric gate system. When you arrive, you simply call the gate and it will recognise your number, opening automatically for convenient access. We’ll provide full details when you sign up.

Is There 24/7 Access to My Belongings?

You can gain access to our site 7 days a week. You will receive a lock and key so you can access your container unit whenever you need to.

What Size Unit Do I Need for My Home Contents?

Choosing the right size depends on how much you need to store:

  • A 10ft unit is typically suitable for the contents of a 1–2 bedroom flat
  • A 20ft unit can usually hold the contents of a 3–4 bedroom house

What Can I Store in a Domestic Storage Unit?

You can store most household items such as furniture, clothing, appliances, seasonal items, hobby equipment, personal belongings and more. However, hazardous materials, perishable goods such as food or drink, illegal items, living items, and anything flammable are not permitted. If you’re unsure about a specific item, just ask our team.
